Freya with the letter KFor the Blogging from A to Z Challenge, I’m having Fun with Fonts. Each day I’ll feature a few I like based on either the look of the font or its name. I’ll also pick a font to inspire one of my tweet tales

The unusual pattern of the Kawung Textile font caught my eye, but I had no idea what the name meant or if it actually meant anything at all. So as I usually do in these situations, I asked my good friend Mr. Google. I learned “the Kawung is one of the oldest batik motifs, consisting of a four lobed stylised flower, based on the Areca Palm blossom.” And that it “has many symbolic meanings, its association to the palm blossom indicates purity and honesty, while the palm fruit refers to fertility and hope.” Very cool – and how great that a font actually taught me something!

Kawung Textile

Another font with an interesting pattern and an usual name was Karamuruh, but when I googled it, all I found were references to the font. So if someone knows an actual meaning for Karamuruh, please let me know in the comments.
Karamuruh

The Kids Kas was another one of those I picked just because it made me grin when I saw it.
Kids Kas

I thought the intricate intertwining of Knot made for a fascinating font.

Love the old school video game style of Karmatic Arcade, and it’s my inspiration for today’s tweet tale.

What do you think of these fonts? Do they inspire any stories in your mind? How Kissable is Freya with her letter K?
